Ads should be placed only on the Top and Bottom of the pages. at the same time, users will able to see Ad four not three above the Search results which it calls Highly Commercial Queries.Google spokesman just confirmed to Search Engine Land that the change is now updated to all searches in all languages worldwide. Ads will no longer appear on the right side of desktop search results.
Two exceptions are also there:
1. Product Listing Ad (PLA) boxes, which show either above or to the right of search results
2. ads in the Knowledge Panel
To clarify the removal of ads from the right side of the desktop search worldwide. The fourth ad above the search result will be shown as "highly commercial queries". This results would be included search results like "hotels in las vegas" and "home insurance".
Removal of all right side ads would make search results same on desktop and mobile devices . on mobile Google may show two or three ads at the top of the search results.
